Douglas J. DeGier built Heritage Capital Finance on a simple belief: businesses serving their communities deserve a financial partner who serves them just as fiercely. A veteran and lifelong advocate for purpose-driven leadership, Douglas founded Heritage Capital Finance in 2017 after seeing firsthand how medical, dental, and veteran-owned practices often struggle to access fair, transparent financing. He set out to build something different — a firm grounded in integrity, service, and long-term partnership. From humble beginnings, Douglas grew the company into an international financing platform, supporting clients across the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Europe. Today, Heritage Capital Finance has delivered more than $85 million in equipment financing, helping businesses expand, build, and bring life-changing services to the communities that need them most. Doug’s leadership style was forged over two decades in the U.S. Army National Guard. The discipline, accountability, and mission-first mindset he learned in uniform still guide his approach to business and client partnership. Whether leading teams, structuring complex financial programs, or mentoring business owners, Doug brings the same principle to every interaction: do the right thing — especially when no one is watching. It’s earned him long-standing client relationships, trust across the banking industry, and a reputation as a relentless problem-solver. Doug holds a B.A. in Business Management and an MBA, and he continues to champion veteran success in business and community leadership. With over 12 years of experience in commercial and consumer lending, Matthew has worked across asset-based financing, working-capital solutions, equipment leasing, vendor finance, and consumer financing—helping businesses in diverse industries secure and structure the funding they need to accelerate growth, optimize operations, and seize strategic opportunities. At Heritage, he aligns his expertise with the firm’s core values of transparency, flexibility, and speed, supporting clients from startup to well-established enterprises. With over 20 plus years experience in the finance sector Alfredo J. Cabrera has held numerous executive positions and worked for institutions such as Citibank, Chase, Washington Mutual and Country Wide Financial. In 2011, after the Great Depression of 2008, Alfredo made a transition to the healthcare sector starting anew as a marketing representative for the diagnostic imaging department of a local community hospital where he aspired to become their marketing director by the end of his 5 year tenure and grew the operations to four centers.In 2016 he founded MD Link Solutions, Inc., a healthcare business consulting practice that has served various clients both nationally and internationally. In 2021 he joined forces with Heritage Capital Finance where he continues to apply all his combined skills.In the early years of his career, Alfredo had the privilege and honor of working for the United States House Of Representatives under the leadership of Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen where he held the position of Congressional Aide and personal liaison.Alfredo Cabrera attended Miami Dade Community College and Florida International University.

Throughout his career, Dan has held senior roles in business development and finance, working closely with startups across finance, operations, and growth strategy. His background includes building strong vendor relationships, driving portfolio performance, and supporting organizations through key stages of expansion. Dan graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in business management. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, playing pickleball, traveling and spending time with his family.Dan is a 30-year veteran of the commercial equipment financing industry, with expertise in launching and managing high- performing vendor programs, particularly within the healthcare and dental markets. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership roles in business development and finance, partnering closely with startups on finance, operations, and growth strategy.
